Job Description
We are looking for a Video Editor Intern, who is creative and detail oriented. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience editing content for digital platforms while working alongside a collaborative creative team. You’ll help bring ideas to life through engaging video content and support post-production workflows.
This internship is ideal for someone who is passionate about storytelling, familiar with VICE’s video content, highly capable with a variety of editing tools and software, and excited to learn in a fast-paced creative environment.
Responsibilities

Edit short-form and long-form video content for social media, editorial, and commercial projects.

Assemble raw footage into polished, engaging, videos that align with VICE guidelines and best practices.

Add music, sound effect, graphics, captions, and basic motion elements to enhance storytelling.

Assist with organizing and managing video assets, project files, and media libraries.

Collaborate with others to execute creative concepts.

Review edits based on feedback and make revisions in a timely manner.

Ensure videos are optimized for various platforms and formats.

Stay up to date on current editing techniques, trends, and emerging content styles.
qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree or certification in Media, Communications, Digital Arts, etc.

Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve; experience with After Effects, Photoshop, or Final Cut Pro is a plus.

Knowledgeable about editing principles, pacing, color correction, audio mixing, and storytelling.

Familiarity with social media platforms and current video content trends.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

A creative mindset with a willingness to learn and take constructive feedback.

A portfolio or reel showcasing editing work (personal, academic or freelancer projects are welcome).
